While there are many specialists talking about youth issues, we think it’smore insightful and meaningful to hear from the real experts – young people.
What is the outcomes of that impact?
Young people from migrant and refugee backgrounds have a wealth of perspectives and unique ideas to contribute to Finland’s rich diversity. However their voices are often stereotyped, marginalised or invisible in mainstream culture and this can damage their ability to feel like they belong.

Volunteer opportunities
MEH's Education team helps run Out-of-School-Hours Learning Support Programs for migrant and refugee students, improving their literacy, numeracy, and study skills, as well as building confidence and a sense of community through volunteer support.
