Work With Us
Our aim is to create a Finland where empowering young individuals from refugee and migrant backgrounds are connected, empowered, and influential.
Work with Meh
We celebrate and value the diversity of our employees. Their skills and experience are key to our ability to build strong partnerships with all of our stakeholders and create positive change across Helsinki.
MEH is a not-for-profit organisation based in Helsinki, providing specialist knowledge and support to young people from refugee and migrant backgrounds.
Our vision is that young people from migrant and refugee backgrounds are connected, empowered and influential Finland.
We love to hear from candidates who can demonstrate how their skills and experience show a commitment to making a difference in the lives of the young people we represent, and who can share their passion and motivation for ensuring young people are empowered.

Community Connections
We build strong connections with communities and work closely with them to understand, identify and respond to the complex needs of young people and their families.
Young people can encounter significant barriers as they try tosettle in Finland. Alongside the challenges of growing up, they arefiguring out how things are done and adjusting to unfamiliarcultural, academic and social expectations.
Their sense of wellbeing and belonging can be considerably
diminished by factors such as racism and discrimination. These
barriers are often compounded and magnified by services and
systems that are ill-quipped to provide the specialist support
needed.
Despite these complex issues, we know that young people have
the enterprise, resilience and optimism to contribute to the continued prosperity of Finland. By engaging them as experts in their own lives and focusing on their strengths, they can be empowered to adapt and thrive communities in the East and West regions of Helsinki.

Volunteer opportunities
MEH's Education team helps run Out-of-School-Hours Learning Support Programs for migrant and refugee students, improving their literacy, numeracy, and study skills, as well as building confidence and a sense of community through volunteer support.
